Even though they had a goal from captain John Tavares, the Islanders lost to the Boston Bruins on Saturday by a score of 3-1.
Tavares scored the Islanders' only goal in the game.
The Bruins out shot the Islanders 31-26. Louis Eriksson scored one goal and David Pastrnak scored two for the Bruins.
Tukka Rask made 25 saves for the Bruins, while Thomas Greiss made 28 saves for the Islanders.
